Knightica - Plans for the future

Hello everyone!
First of all, once again, we want to thank you all for all the excitement about Knightica. The amount of feedback really helps us figure out on how to make Knightica a better game! We especially had multiple reviews saying "I want to love the game, but...". Well, now we just want to make you love the game, period!
The first point we want to address is the difficulty. While the game was indeed not made to be easy, we want the difficulty to be challenging, not gatekeeping ; and as a review from today even said, "normal mode could be easier to welcome people new to the genre".
It is true and this is what we'll work towards, making the Normal mode easier. We will also make the first three endless maps easier, so players don't feel like being kicked out of the game as soon as they just defeated the third boss. Those changes should be up in a patch coming tomorrow, by the end of the day (CEST)Along with those changes, in tomorrow's patch, we'll deploy a fix for the Gladiator achievement that's not working.
We also want to address the slowdown issues that occur during long play sessions. Namely, the memory leak issue. However, we're still figuring it out completely, and it might have to wait for the second patch.
Talking about the second patch : What, when?
A second patch is set to be released Friday, most likely by the end of the day too (CEST). However, and since it's a bit further away, depending on the feedback from the first patch, or unexpecting errors during tests, it might be postponed to Monday. It shouldn't be, but we'd rather keep this possibility rather than releasing a patch too quickly, making things worse. Now, what's going to be in it?
This second patch will focus on a deeper rework of Endless mode. While we’re tuning down the first levels in tomorrow’s patch, the next patch will address difficulty more thoroughly, aiming to reduce the frustration highlighted in your feedback, but it requires a bit more time. And then what?
Well, there's one last thing widely asked we havn't mentioned in this news yet. THE. BESTIARY.This requires more time to develop as the game was not meant to have one ; but we will add it. It might take a couple of weeks, maybe slightly more. We won't stop patching the game while we're working on the bestiary, but since this will take most of the developpers time, we want to address the biggest issues before that.
Smaller additions/changes - for example tweaks on Arena mode difficulty, showing rarity % in shop, we're thinking about the fight speed button, too.. All those changes will come after those first two patches, and not especially all at once, as our main focus will still be the Bestiary.
We will keep on reading your feedback and do our best to make the changes needed to the game, and we'll keep you posted with patchnotes and what's next as soon as we can!
On behalf of everyone in the team, thanks a lot once again for your patience, for playing Knightica, for your feedback and, overall, your kind words!
See you tomorrow
