Although playing as one of the ready-made origin characters in Baldur's Gate 3 certainly has its perks, it makes sense that the majority of players are going to gravitate towards making a custom protagonist, called "Tav" by default. It's common for players to spend hours in the customizer, possibly using mods to their advantage to create their perfect main characters.
