At this point it's pretty clear that the future of space is for it to be ransacked by profit-hungry corporations grown so large that the mere act of being an executive for one makes a strong statement on why no sane human would want to get within the same solar system as them. The absolute focus on rising to the top at the expense of every shred of humanity means every interaction, no matter how friendly on the surface, leaves you knowing the only reason you haven't been cut up for parts is due to the profit margin not quite being enough to justify the work, but if next quarter's numbers take a dip that option will be reassessed.
